SOLAR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION
MEDA OFFER GRID-TIED, HYBRID (BATTERY STORAGE), AND OFF GRID SOLUTIONS CUSTOMISED FOR YOU.
Whether you are wanting to be fully off grid or have a grid tie system here at MEDA we can ensure the best outcome for you and your home. There are a few different factors to consider when choosing what type of system would be best for you.
We have given a breif overview of the different types of systems below.
Grid-tied systems are the most cost effective to install. They export excess power to the grid, while still having a strong reliance on the grid. This means the overall cost reductions won't be as high comparative to a battery storage system. Considering the majority of kiwis tend to use most of our daily power usage in the evening, you won't be getting the full benefit of your solar.
Hybrid systems store excess power in batteries for use at evening, night and during a power cut, further reducing your reliance on the grid. With this advanced system it does have a higher install cost. The benefit to these systems is they will give you a great return on your investment as they have significant power savings and capabilities.
Off-grid systems are the most costly to install but give you complete freedom from the grid and no power bill. Another benefit to this system is they can provide you power and often for cheaper than having utilities installed. This is helpful if you do not already have the infrastructure readily available.Deciding on which system is best for you and your family is often a difficult decision but the team at MEDA are here to help!
MEDA will take into account your current situation, what your ideal power usage is, how much roof (or land) you have available to mount panels, and more. This enables us to give you a range of options that will suit your needs.
