Powerstore 10 - Grid-Coupled Battery Storage (20kWh)

Serious storage. Whole-home backup. 20 kWh of wall-mounted battery and 8 kW of Victron power, coupled to your switchboard. Store your spare solar or cheap night rates, run your whole house through outages — designed, installed and backed by MEDA.
From P.O.A. — 20 kWh, supply-only. Installed pricing quoted for your switchboard.
The Powerstore10 is MEDA's full-size home battery system: two 10 kWh Dyness Powerbox G2 wall units (20.5 kWh total, add more anytime) behind a 10 kVA Victron MultiPlus-II, AC-coupled to your home. It stores the solar you're currently exporting for cents — your existing panels and inverter stay exactly as they are, any brand — or charges on cheap night rates if you have no solar. And unlike smaller batteries, its 100 A transfer switch can carry your whole house through a power cut: not just the fridge and the lights — everything.
Three ways to run it
- Solar self-consumption — soak up your spare solar by day, run the house on it at night.
- Cheap-rate charging — charge on night rates, spend at peak; no solar required.
- Grid backup — the battery holds full charge and takes over the instant the grid drops.
Grid-connected batteries need your lines company's approval (AS/NZS 4777) — we handle that with you.
Built for
Bigger homes, families with real evening loads, heat pumps, spas and EVs — anyone on single-phase power who wants their solar to actually cancel their power bill, and wants the whole house to stay on when the street goes dark.
What you get
- 1× Victron MultiPlus-II 48/10000 inverter/charger
- 2× Dyness Powerbox G2 — 20.5 kWh lithium, slim wall-mount (only 165 mm deep), weatherproof (IP66), 8000+ cycle life, built-in WiFi + app
- Built-in fire suppression — every battery carries its own aerosol fire extinguisher that detects and acts in seconds, plus a smart BMS
- Victron Cerbo GX + Touch 50 colour display
- Victron grid meter + Victron Lynx DC busbar — engineered, no loose wiring
- Free VRM phone app — your energy, live
- Optional: free hot water — spare solar heats your cylinder once the battery's full
Prefer to stage it? You can start with one battery (10 kWh) and add the second later — system output is limited until the second battery is added.

FAQ
Will it really back up the whole house? Yes — the 100 A transfer switch carries a standard single-phase home. Very heavy simultaneous loads (oven + hot water + EV at once) are best spread out while on battery.
Will it work with my existing solar? Yes — any brand of grid-tied solar, untouched. Want your solar to keep working DURING an outage too? Ask us — with the right setup the Powerstore can keep your solar inverter alive off-grid.
How much can I save? With solar: you swap small export credits for full-price purchased power on every stored kWh. Without solar: you shift usage from peak to night rates. We'll model your actual bill at the site assessment.
Where does it go? On the wall — garage, plant room, or outside. The Powerbox G2 units are IP66 weatherproof, only 165 mm deep — slimmer than a heat pump's outdoor unit — and mount side by side.
Can I add more battery later? Yes — 10 kWh at a time. The DC busbar ships with spare positions ready for two more units. Need bigger steps? A higher-capacity floor-standing battery option (Dyness PowerBrick Pro, 14.3 kWh per unit) is available on request.
What about battery fires? These are LiFePO4 batteries — the calm, stable lithium chemistry — managed by a smart BMS, and every Powerbox G2 also has a built-in aerosol fire extinguisher that detects and acts in seconds. That's a level of protection most home batteries don't have.
Is it safe? Yes — on top of the batteries' own protection, the whole system is installed and certified by licensed electricians to AS/NZS standards, with battery placement per AS/NZS 5139.
